How To Preach Evangelistic Sermons

About the Book:  Author and speaker R. Larry Moyer shows pastors and speakers how to communicate the good news. In twenty-seven helpful chapters, he explains why expository evangelistic preaching is so important, lists different ways to give an evangelistic message, and defines key terms such as sin, belief, and repentance. Included in this comprehensive book on evangelistic preaching are many practical tips and two sample messages.
About the Author:  Author and speaker R. Larry Moyer received his ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary and his DMin from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.  He has  been working in the field of evangelism out-reach and training for nearly forty years.  He is the founder and CEO of EvanTell, Inc., an evangelism training ministry in Dallas, Texas, and speaks at evangelistic outreaches, training seminars, and in churches and classrooms across the country.
My Reaction to the Book:  There are Individuals who deliver a message from God based on His word and they are called Preachers or Evangelists,  and you will possibly see them every Sunday or weeknight filing a pulpit and that is a good thing.  That is where they do God’s work and tell of God’s word. There are also those who do the same work using blogs, and other media who also would benefit from this book and they are good as well.  Their job is different but important just the same.    This book would be a plus in the library for lay speakers, teachers of the Word, anyone who speaks the Word in front of a congregation.  R. Larry Moyer. Breaks the book down into two main sections:  Looking At Our Opportunity and Looking At Our Message.  He gives us several lessons on what is needed to truly bring God's message of love and redemption to the people. I love the fact that every single chapter has a conclusion and a section for reflecting on the lesson. My husband is a pastor and I am a lay speaker and this book will be used by both of us many times.  . I recommend this book highly.
