My Thoughts On The Book:  The story captured me from the very beginning. The struggles that Allie faced were heartbreaking.  She so wanted her life back and to right a wrong that was done to her so long ago.  Her sister,  Emma, wanted to keep Carolina, her niece and prove her self-worth. I liked the way the chapters jumped from 1999 to present and they were all labeled to let the reader know you were taking a time jump.  The jumps helped explain what was happening and what had happened.   McNeill wrote a thrilling mystery and telling any more of the plot would be a spoiler.  It is a must read!

My Thoughts About The Book:    

A Dream of Miracles by Ruth Reid is the third book in The Amish Wonders series.  I have not read the others and did not have a hard time coming in during the middle of the series.  Ruth Reid's book was well-written and easy to read just like all of her other books.  She is one of my favorite authors.  I know that the Amish world is very sheltered compared to the English world but I did find it difficult to believe that anyone in this day and age could be so uniformed about the government and life in general.  Mattie really has a hard time with the English system of law and Child Protective Services.  As always,  I look forward to the next book by Ruth Reid. Even with the lack of knowledge of the system that Mattie possesses I still could not stop reading  until I got to the end of the book.

My Thoughts On The Book:  Robin Lee Hatcher has become one of my most favorite authors and she has done it again with this sweet final story of the Kings Meadow Romance Series. Keeper of the Stars was such a touching love story that dealt with grief and loss.  I don't want to spoil the story for the reader.  I will say that Robin Hatcher is a Queen wordsmith when it comes to writing a sweet, wholesome, and beautiful love story that is romantic but not sickeningly sappy.  I love the faith elements that are present and I love how she portrays the grace of God.  I cannot wait to get my hands on her next book.  This is a must read.

My Thoughts On The Book:  I loved this book!  I was not a fan of the show when it started and even after watching it a few times I was not impressed....but then I began seeing the spiritual side of this family and was hooked.  This book is a quick read and full of  wonderful spiritual insights of this powerful family and the grace they have received.  Just because they have found monetary success in life the book shares a side you don't always see on television.  They have done spiritual warfare often and the book is so open and honest that I could not put it down.  If you are not a fan of the show....you will be after reading this book.

My Thoughts On The Book:  I have followed these families throughout the whole series and my only disappointment with this book is that the book ended too soon.  It is quick read, around 100 pages and can be easily read in one sitting.  I am delighted to have found Colleen Coble's books, she is a master at developing a story and plot.  The reader is drawn into the action before they even realize they are participants too.  I cannot wait to read her next book/series.  What an amazing writer!

My Thoughts On The Book:  I love books that draw you in from the first page and although this book does not do that it does eventually make you sit down and listen to Sarah's story.  The story of choices, questions, and God really comes together.  Abortion is an ugly word to many and the books handing of  pro-life verses abortion can really strike a nerve with the reader.   Sarah's friendship with Audrey was my favorite part of the whole story as one pregnant woman helps another one make the most important decision of her life.  This is a good read and if you get the chance be sure and see the movie.  It follows the story line pretty close.  I am delighted that I had the chance to review this book.

My Thoughts On The Book:  This is the fourth book in the A Year of Weddings series of novellas from a range of contemporary authors such as Denise Hunter, Rachel Hauck and Deborah Raney. According to the research I have done on the series each novel appears to be a standalone story. The key word here is appears. I found A March Bride hard to get in to because it’s the sequel to Once Upon a Prince.  It works as a standalone story, although the beginning is awkward and bogs down with the explanation of Nathaniel(he was British-without-being-British and a King), and Susanna( a nightmare for the British government because she is a redneck from Georgia).  I semi- enjoyed this book.  I read Once Upon a Prince first—and when I began the beginning of A March Bride I felt as if I had read this story before.  I had read the first of the sequel and the first part of A March Bride offered up a review of the first book.  Once I got into the book Hauck does a remarkable job of developing the stories of love, relationships, and our place in the family of God.

My Thoughts About The Book:  Ruth Reid is an excellent author and quite a wordsmith.  For an Amish story this book was different than what I expected it to be.  The shame Lindie experiences was heartbreaking.  The fact that this young Amish woman could be brutalized as she was, shamed by her own kind, and terrified for her family in a community that is supposed to be peaceful almost made me put the book down without ever reading it.  I am so glad I did not.  The power of love, the hope of a future, and the love of family is what this book is about.  The grace factor flows throughout the story as Lindie takes on the roll of wife, mother, and member of a new community.  I have read several of Ruth Reid's books and loved them all.  I believe this is my favorite.  The characters come to life on the page and I could not put the book down once I started reading it.  I felt as if I too lived in this Amish community and personally knew the characters.  If you love a good Amish story this book is for you.

My Thoughts On The Book:  I actually set out to read this short book in small sessions before going to bed each night.  I figured I could read it in a week, but that is not what happened.  Once I began reading the novella I could not put it down and ended up reading it all in one sitting.   I loved it. I am a huge fan of Max Lucado and that is why I chose to review this book! He is one of my favorite Non-fiction christian writers.  This is the very first work of fiction I have ever read and it is as well-written as the rest of his works. I loved the historical aspect of it.   I believe every one should read The Christmas Candle and catch a glimpse of actions about faith, miracles and God's power.  I don't want to spoil it for another reader but you will love the story of the angel who comes every twenty-five years to bless the candle made by the Chandler of Gladstone. I believe this will become a Christmas classic.

My Thoughts On The Book:  This is a wonderfully well-written book about life, making bread, love, childhood stories, and love. I have been working with bread dough a lot the last 2 weeks, so I could easily relate to this story. As someone who began baking bread and experimenting with different flours and flavors for the first time last year I was drawn immediately to the book.   I was delighted to get all the recipes for Leisl's breads.   Leisl's life with bread was both a heartbreaking and a happy story. I loved the way the book skipped back and forth, from Liesl's "current" story to her history to the history of bread -- Parrish definitely keeps your mind engaged while you read. From the moment I began the story I was hooked and felt as if I knew the characters personally.   I  definitely enjoyed the book and would recommend this book!  This book would be a great gift and great for your own personal library.

About The Author:  Thrills, mystery, suspense, romance: Margaret Brownley penned it all. Nothing wrong with this--except Margaret happened to be writing for the church newsletter at the time. After making the church picnic read like a Grisham novel, her former pastor took her aside and said, "Maybe God's calling you to write fiction." So that's what Margaret did. She's now a New York Times bestselling author and a Romance Writers of America RITA finalist with more than 25 novels to her credit. My Thoughts On The Book:  Margaret Brownley had me from the beginning.  The opening chapter of the story had some keystone cop style humor that made me laugh out loud and kept me glued to the book.  The book had a fast moving plot and you hated to put it down for fear that you would miss something.  When I closed the book I was in a state of sheer delight.  This was my kind of story.  I loved it!  One of my favorite parts of the book was the interaction between the hero and heroine.  The whole story reminded me of the old B grade westerns I used to watch as a child.  This book is the third in a series and I didn't  realize that when I started reading it. It does not matter if you have not read the other two stories, because this one makes a great stand-alone story.

Christine Greer, R.N. has been practicing nursing for 18 years.  She is a professional artist and taught school art for many years.  She has played a dynamic integral part in the work required to get this book published.  She and Dr. Hendricks are already planning their second book together.

My Thoughts About The Book:  The Rainbow Egg by Linda Hendricks is a short and sweet children's book about adoption described through the lives of chickens. I have several friends who have adopted and I shared the book with each of them. I believe that this children's book is a must have,  It is beautifully illustrated and would be a great source of help for those experiencing infertility, those with adopted children, children who live in adoptive homes and birthparents or potential birthmothers of adopted children.  A great read within twenty-six pages.

My Thoughts On The Book:  Harriet Beamer Strikes Gold is one of the most delightful books I have read in some time! It is so much fun, definitely an easy read and from the moment I started the first page I was hooked.  I loved Harriet Beamer, her high top tennis shoes, and her precious, artsy  friend Martha.  I wanted to be with them on every excursion they went on.  Magnin is a master of the word and this book is a must read.  If you are headed out to the beach, love to read at lunch time, or just want to be taken away and you are out of Calgon this book is for you.

My Thoughts About The Book:  I love Amish fiction and was thrilled to have the opportunity to review this book for Thomas Nelson's Book Sneeze Blogging Program.  Because it was an Amish story I devoured the book and read this book all the way through in one day.  Once I started it I could not put it down.  The resolution was a bit hard to swallow.  Trey and Hannah fell in love too quickly, after just one brief conversation.   I haven't read an Amish fiction book where things were resolved in that way, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.  Clifton does not  portray the Amish as perfect people like most  Amish fiction does.  This particular Order of Amish seemed to be terribly judgmental and gossipy.  Although many of them were kind and gentle, they were human and things around her were not perfect.   Personally I don't believe this would happen where two people – one Amish and one Englisher would act on feelings of this magnitude so fast. I knew from the moment they met that Hannah would end up leaving her Order and marrying Trey.  I also knew that her decision would eventually affect her whole family. I was very frustrated with Hannah, Trey, Barbie, and Josh because of their actions yet the characters and the storyline and characters came across as real. This could really happen today.  I believe the story was one that portrayed the struggles that Amish widows face.  It was a good story about the Amish way of life and the struggles Amish women may face. I would love to read a follow up of the main characters. I really liked Hannah; her character was really likeable. I really thought Trey, and two of Hannah's children were likeable too. I can understand the struggles the other child was probably going through though. I felt all the characters were well-rounded and very thought out. This book was a gem.  Even though I was not entirely sold on the book I would still like to read the entire set of stories from the Hearts of the Lancaster Grand Hotel Series.

My Thoughts On The Book:  If you like reading clean historical romance books and enjoy mail-order bride stories then this book is for you.  It is a sweet collection of four novellas by four different authors:  And Then Came Spring by Margaret Brownley, An Ever After Summer by Debra Clopton, Autumn's Angel by Robin Lee Hatcher, and Winter Wedding Bells by Mary Connealy about four women whose lives were irrevocably changed by becoming a mail-order bride – when times were hard out west and women were few.   Each story represents a different season in 1870 I loved them all!  I loved the fact that all four mail-order bride stories are tied together by the common bond of Melvin Hitchcock from The Hitching Post, a mail-order bride catalogue with a high rate of successful marriages.  None of the couples in the four novellas are matched up as they expected to be, when Hitchcock takes it upon himself to play cupid of sorts.  This book is loads of fun and very  entertaining to read. You cannot wait until the next calamity occurs. It is not an epic read but it is good for an afternoon to drift into the life of four mail-order brides.  It is delightful.  There are three discussion questions for each novella in the back. This would be a great Book Club read!

My Thoughts On The Book:  We all have a lemonade story or two tucked back in our memories.  I am no exception.  This book touched every fiber of my being.  Each story was different and although they may not have all touched me directly, as a paster's wife they all provided some nugget I could keep with me for future reference.  Each dramatic story is woven together in this tight night book and very encouraging.  It is the kind of book you can read in one sitting (if you have enough kleenex on hand), or read a few at each sitting.  We all need hope in our lives and this book is exactly what the doctor ordered.  Each story is filled with hope and grace....and love.  It was a blessing to read this book and I hope my readers will want to read it too.  It is captivating and filled with gifts just for the reader. Life does give us lemons sometimes but God can take those hardships and make them into something better....Lemonade.

My Thoughts About The Book:  The Woman's Study Bible is a extremely informative, easy to read, and encouraging. The copy I was sent is the NIV version.  The text was so easy to understand compared to other versions of the Bible. This is definitely a Bible geared specifically and only for women. I was very excited to review this Bible. I was out of town and actually used the bible in church and found myself caught up with all the helps that really enhanced the sermon I was hearing.  They really clarified the sermon topic for me.
I really enjoyed this Bible. I recommend this to anyone searching for a nice Bible to give to a woman, girl, graduate, or possibly even a bride.  The color scheme of this Bible is earth-toned, soft, feminine and attractive, but not too "frilly" as to be distracting.

 My Thoughts On The Book:  The Color of Hope picks up where Hope Springs left off. I fell in love with Hope Springs  from page one and was so happy to be reviewing another one of Kim Cash Tate's books. the author deals with real life issues in her books in a fictional manner. In this set of books she deals with racial issues, romance and bullying.  Tate is a powerful user of words as she lets you get inside the skin of her characters.  By the time you have finished reading it is as if you are family, or at least old friends.  I highly recommend reading this book! You do not need to read Hope Springs before this book unless you are really interested in getting to know the families better, but I recommend it too. I look forward to reading many more books by Kim Cash Tate.
