Sunday, July 8th
Sunday I did not have a lot to do. I found two bumper stickers my niece Ramona sent to me asd reminders of our last Thanksgiving event on 30A in Florida. I also took dried flowers I had collecterd from my moms, aunts, and dads funerals and put it in the glass jar Marian gave me for my birthday last year. I was tickled with how it turned out. I have really been into the DIY stuff for the last couple of weeks.
Monday, July 9th - Momma's Birthday
Since today was my mom's birthday I thought I would shoot the furnishings she made for the doll house she gave my daughter, Kat for her second birthday and never put together. Frank ended up building the doll house and I added the furniture after we found it. She did an amazing job.
Tuesday, July 10th
We went to dinner at T.J. Rockers on Tuesday night and I noticed that one of the framed items on the wall was an autographed copy of a piece of music by Kurt Colbain. After dinner we went by the Houze's for tomatoes and I caught some of Mrs. Betty Jeans amazing flowers. It is hard to believe that they are still so healthy after the horrendous draught we have been experiencing.

New floor was put in the parsonage today. The bottom picture shows the original flooring (top) and the new stuff (bottom). I was delighted . The old flooring showed everything.
Thursday, July 12th
Our neighbors, Wayne and Amy, went to an estate sale today and bought this table lamp. It is gorgeous in a twisted sort of way. There is a lot of glass in this lamp. The top picture is the lamp whole and it is taller than I am. The bottom picture is one of the arm pieces so you can see the amber and crystal prisms. We were headed out to dinner with friends and I snapped the nasty cloud that was coming up. While we were at their house the bottom fell out.
Friday, July 13th
Today we took Mrs. Jane and Libby to Auburn for lunch at Olive Garden. The three of us headed back in time to do the July birthday celebration at Traylors Nursing Home. Beth met us there so we could have music. It was lots of fun. Frank is in class today and tomorrow so I am batching it at home.
While we were in Opelika/Aibirm today we hit several thrift stores and I bought this table top bird bath at the Harvest Thrift Store. I have been looking for one of these and this one was so colorful. I can't wait to photograph birdies bathing in their new bath tub.

I went to an estate and four yard sales today. I bought a few things...but forgot to take pictures. When I got home I decided to take a picture of some flowers done by my childhood next door neighbor for my mom. Her name was Edy Gunnell and she did pretty florals and stills. I have three of therm. The next shot is of Shiloh Baptist Church in Kellyton, AL. Kat and I went there with my parents to do a cemetary census. Kat took this shot and then framed it. She gave it to me when they moved into their apartment. I love the picutre. The tree was in the church yard. I am working on placing it somewhere in my house. I will let you know what comes of it and where I put it. Well, my week is over and I am tired now. Tomorrow is a busy day. See you next week. Be blessed!

I had a miniature doll house like that when I was a child. I loved it and played with it for hours on end!
You have been busy taking pictures.
Really cute doll house. I use to have one. Actually bought a kid for our daughter this last Christmas. Love the jar of dried flowers. I also have a collection so now I need a large jar! It was so sad about Kurt Colbain. He was talented. Love the new flooring.
Like the new flooring! I remember when we changed the linoleum tile in the kitchen/dining area. We picked a pattern called "turtle" that was multi-colored and hid all sorts of dirt :) I miss that floor! hahaha
Funky lamp. Definitely what they call a "statement piece" in the decorating industry :)
Have a wonderful week!
So many artsy items this week!
The flower jar turned out great!
That lamp is fascinating! Love the flowers & the picture of the church & tree.
