Thursday was a crazy day. Mrs. Hazel had a hip replacement and was in the hospital in Opelika....Lyndi was going to have a baby in the Valley and we wanted to be both places. We left and headed to Opelika first...visited with Mrs. Hazel and then made our way to the Valley. Lyndi was not ready....so we visited a couple of hours....thinking things would change....and headed home...via Milano's for an early supper. Just as we got to the house...we had a call....they were doing a C-section at 8 so we headed back. We were there when the blessed event happened and we were delighted to get to participate in the birth of Landon Kaid...7' 15" and 21 inches long. He is gorgeous. We headed home around 9:30....got home at 10ish....and at 10:10 the Rock Mills VFD was toned out for a structure fire. Frank responded....I waited up for him.....or rather tried to....I finally gave up at 1:00....and he got home at 3:30. Sleep was not to be had by either of us. He finally got up at 5:30 and I willed myself to stay put til 6. Friday was a LONG day!
