My theme is Songs....some my favorites....some not so much. Day 6 is the letter F and it is for the Carpenter's song, For All We Know. This is a song I have sung countless times at weddings....especially during the 70's. It was a very popular love song. This song, along with We've Only Just Begun, were the most requested wedding songs of the decade. I loved both of them. Can you remember this song? Was it sung at your wedding? Let me hear some feedback on the tune. Happy Tuesday!
For All We Know
Love, look at the two of us
Strangers in many ways
We've got a lifetime to share
So much to say and as we go on from day to day
I'll feel you close to me
But time alone will tell
Let's take a lifetime to say
I knew you well
For only time will tell us so
And love may grow for all we know
Love, look at the two of us
Strangers in many ways
Let's take a lifetime to say
I know you well
But only time will tell us so
And love may grow for all we know
Strangers in many ways
We've got a lifetime to share
So much to say and as we go on from day to day
I'll feel you close to me
But time alone will tell
Let's take a lifetime to say
I knew you well
For only time will tell us so
And love may grow for all we know
Love, look at the two of us
Strangers in many ways
Let's take a lifetime to say
I know you well
But only time will tell us so
And love may grow for all we know

I've heard "We've Only Just Begun" but not "For All We Know". Then again, I came a long time after the Carpenters were popular; I just happen to like listening to older music. :) Thanks for sharing this song. Because of your post I got to hear it for the first time today. :)
