Oh I So Love Cheesy Christmas Movies

I love Christmas movies.  My favorites include: White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street (the original one), A Christmas Carol and It's a Wonderful Life.  My all time least favorite is:  A Christmas Story.  The leg lamp, the tongue stuck to the pole outside, and shooting his eye with a bb gun all do nothing for me.  But....since Thanksgiving evening....(I did wait til after the turkey was put away and everyone had gone home)....I have been glued to cheesy Christmas movies.  I am addicted to the Hallmark Channel for sure.  November Christmas, a Hallmark presentation from last week was a heart wrencher and I loved every moment of it and cried my eyes out.  Yep...the cheesier they are the more I seem to want to see them....or at least that is what Frank says.  He watched football all weekend...and I watched the Hallmark Channel.  I cannot help the fact that I love those feel good movies.  I love saving Santaville, meeting the Christmas stranger that is the ghost of someone's son, engagement stories, finding a dad for Christmas, finding a mom, finding a dog....oh yes...Hollywood is obviously aware that I (and I am sure millions of others) are out there...waiting for a sappy, sad/happy movie about the Christmas holidays.  I have always been that way.  When my daughter Kat was little she and I loved to watch Christmas shows....from Rudolph when she was very small to White Christmas....where else can you get movies for a brief period of the year...that are not about murder, sex, and foul language....no wonder I like them.  I know some of you are just like me.  I would like nothing better than to stay cuddled in bed from say...Black Friday until Christmas Day....with it snowing outside....while I watch cheesy Christmas movies.  NOW....I don't think they are cheesy but Frank sings a little song to me to the tune of Don Ho's Tiny Bubbles....it goes like this.....Cheesy Movies on my tv.....I have to laugh.  It is funny because Frank is a big sap when it comes to tear jerker movies.  So, let me ask you a question.....leave me your answer in my comment section.  What is your favorite Christmas movie?....and why?  Have a Happy Day!

Morning Karen. Yes...we love those sappy Christmas movies too. But for the past few years, we have watched every cartoon christmas movie known to man! We are slaves to our children and being with them. LOL Our favorite is of course...Rudolph! Then we love the silly movies like Elf with Will Farrell and The Grinch with Jim Carrey. They arent exactly "the classics" but for us they are CLASSIC! But, if I ever get a moment with just my husband and I, we would sure love to snuggle and watch Miracle on 34th St. Although I might have to lock the kids in the closet somewhere to be able to do that. LOL Merry Christmas to you and yours. May the Risen Savior that we celebrate this season bless you immensely! :)

I have to agree with you...I love the Christmas movies. And at this very moment, I watching one on the Hallmark Channel.

My favorite: It's a Wonderful Life. Getting the opportunity to see what a difference you have made in other people's life is, well, life changing!

Happy Holidays!

It definitely has to be "White Christmas." Having never seen a white Christmas, this one just hits the spot for me.

Aw, Karen, A Christmas Story is one of our FAVES! When Katy and Jessi were younger, it was a tradition for us. I think that's why I love it so much...

My favorite Christmas movie is definitely "It's A Wonderful Life." I love it because it shows us that no matter that we think we don't make a difference, we do - just by living our lives!

Second favorite movie is White Christmas. I'm not sure why except I love the music!

I love cheesy Christmas movies, too. There's an old theater in our "twin city" that is going to show White Christmas on the big screen. I've never seen it on the big screen, so I definitely want to check that out.
Have you seen "Family Stone"? LOVE.IT. It's a fairly recent movie, but I watch it over, and over, and over.
