My review: Tandem by Tracey Bateman was not at all what I expected. After reading the back cover I wondered just how the author was going to successfully mix vampires and God. In a time when the Twilight series has made such a huge success of vampire stories this book was able to keep me on the edge of my chair the whole time. I am not a huge fan of this particular story line buy I must say her characters were very alive and the book was one of those you just did not want to put down. If you like a story line that is full of curiosity, intrigue, and mystery then this is your book.
Summary: Brutal murders shock the small community of Abbey Hills, then a fire broke out at Markus Chisom's home and supposedly claimed the killers life. Then comes the arrival of Lauryn McBride, and her family auction business who must auction off the estate sale of one of Markus Chisom. This estate sale/auction gives Lauryn a break from watching her father’s decline due to Alzheimer's. In preparing for the sale Lauryn finds centuries worth of old secrets tied to Abbey Hills and the Chisom estate. She also discovers a mysterious evil that will do anything to make sure those secrets stay hidden.
