Description/Summary of Book: If you have ever started your day with the Rick and Bubba Show then you know the sound of these crazy, wild men from Calhoun County, Alabama. From their glory days of high athletic ambitions to redneck Shakespeare these two men have spanned several decades working out a winning comedy routine that has given them over three million listeners. My Thoughts: I have to admit before reading this book I was not a Rick and Bubba fan. In fact, I was not even sure why I decided to review it. I think I chose it because I am from Alabama myself. I live a short jaunt from Calhoun County and thought maybe if I read the book I would like these men as much as my friends do. The book got off to a slow start for me, but once it caught me I was a goner, hook line and sinker. As much as it pain me I have to say that the book was a great read for me! I laughed a bunch. I cried often. And I was inspired by them! God’s hand on their lives was so evident and made me realize that it is all in God’s time. It is hard to believe that two good old boys from Calhoun County could cross paths so often and yet never touch base. Their story was definitely a God thing, and still is. I adored reading the story of these two zany men and admire them both as Christians. I still don’t like the radio show.
