Gabby, God's Little Angel

About the Book:  Gabby, a clumsy and inattentive  guardian angel, is sent from Heaven to protect a little girl named Sophie who is just like her.  Gabby does not take her job totally serious until a near miss on a horse makes her realize just how important her role really is. This is a great book to use for a Sunday School lesson on how much God loves us.  At the end of the book there is a memory verse,  “He will put his angels in charge of you. They will watch over you wherever you go” (Psalm 91:11 ICB) that will show children how much God loves them.  The verse helps them understand that God has angels watching over them no matter where they are.  Walsh lets her audience know that God is always there to help them and protect them.
About the Author:  Sheila Walsh is a powerful Bible teacher and best-selling author from Scotland with over 4 million books sold. A featured speaker with Women of Faith® conferences, she has reached more than 3.5 million women by combining honesty, vulnerability, and humor with God's Word and I am one of them.  The first time I heard her sing, "You Raise Me Up," I was hooked and have read several of her books over the past few years. She lives in Frisco, Texas with her husband, Barry, her son, Christian, and her two little dogs, Belle and Tink.

My Thoughts:  One of my favorite books as a child was given to me when my brother died at age five.  It was called, "The Littlest Angel."  I read this book until it was dog-eared and destroyed from use.  When I began reading "Gabby, God's Little Angel it was like I was a child all over again. This book was precious.  It touched me as an adult and I know it can definitely be used as a teaching tool for younger believers/children.  The book would make a wonderful gift. I would give this book at least 4.5 stars.  And can’t wait to shower my special little girl friends with a copy for Christmas.

I really enjoy hearing Sheila Walsch speak - I can imagine that her book would be a "keeper" for kids.
