Project 365 - Week 40

It is week 40 of Project 365.  Only twelve weeks remain in the year and I find that hard to believe.  Want to see more pictures?  Head over to Sara's blog and check out the pictures everyone else has made.  Be thinking about joining us next year.  I have to admit it has been a great way to journal what I have done this year.  I think I will save this in book form when the year is finished.

Sunday, September 25th
Frank came up with his church sign this week on his own.  I thought it was quite profound.

Monday, September 26th
Homecoming Week at BRHS
Today was Jersey Day and only one of my students had one on.  Everyone else said they forgot what today's theme was.  My Spanish II class started a body parts poster project.  I have a lot of students who are going to be out in this class this week due to field trips, Sr. Conferences, etc.  So I thought I would do a cross-curricular project on the body.

Tuesday, September 27th
Twin Day

You will notice all my twins match except for this pair.  Mrs. Pierce is an Auburn fan and Mrs. Vest is an Alabama fan so they are fraternal twins....separated at birth.

Wednesday, September 28th
Decades Day
I was surprised at all the Decades Day participants.  We had everything from a pilgrim on up.  Even the kids who don't like to participate participated unknowingly.....they dressed as 21st century.  Ha Ha.

Thursday, September 29th
I forgot to get any of the dressed up guys today....but my Spanish II class has really come a long way on their posters.  This groups girl is Adelina and they managed to find and label 65 body parts.  I was very impressed.

Friday, September 30th
Homecoming Day Pep Rally

Alex is trying to fire up the kids before the football players enter the circle.
Football team lined up and ready....not!  The one on crutches is our head coaches son and he is out for the season.  He was our starting quarterback and very good.  Hopefully he will be with us for the playoffs.

The cheerleaders getting ready to announce tonights team captains.

It is terrible to come to a pep rally and all you can see are the backsides of everyone.  This little one looked a little put out by that fact.

They did turn around and pose for me when they realized I was watching them.  They are too cute.  We got to leave today at 12.  I headed back to Roanoke.  I would not be attending the 2:00 parade or the game.  I have a date with my honey.  We went to Auburn and saw "Corageous."  Let me tell you.....it is a GREAT movie.  I can't remember when I have laughed so hard or cried so hard all in the same movie.  If you get a chance...go and see it.  If I were Siskell and Eibert I would give it 10+ rating....to heck with thumbs.

Saturday, October 1st
Frank and I got up early and went to Santuck.  We bought our usual....Amish Cheese to bring home, roasted corn to eat there, a some jewelry and a cap.  We are sponsoring a Moldovan girl for Christmas and she loves jewelry...to make it and to wear it.  I got some great jewelry for her and I have also got a book on how-to and some beads for her to work with....so far.  We came home via Waverly...it was their 100th anniversary and the Waverly BBQ....two quarts of stew and two bbq plates later...we were headed back to the house.  I read a little, took a nice nap....and then began modge podging my pumpkins.  They are in the phase one drying stage in this picture.  I will shoot them again when I get my centerpiece set up on my table.  Have a wonderful Week....and come back and see us again next week.

Invaluable piece - I was enlightened by the information - Does anyone know where my assistant might obtain a blank a form copy to work with ?
