My Thoughts On The Book: This is the first book in the Lone Star Brides series from Peterson and I am glad I got in on the ground floor. I will read another one to see how she ties them together. Peterson is no stranger to the story as this was also her 100th novel. I enjoyed the story line even though I did think it was a little slow starting. I enjoyed the main characters. I found them very well developed. I liked the secondary characters in the book maybe even a little more than the primary. I really liked Alice, is a sweet character who guides Marty, even though she's much younger, back into a relationship with God. I loved both the housekeeper and the butler. They were very amusing. I felt like in parts of the story I was left hanging. When I finished reading the book I felt as if something was lacking and I could not put my finger on what it was.
