Book Review - Voices of the Faithful - Volume 2

About the Book: Voices of the Faithful – Volume 2: Inspiring Stories of Courage from Christians Serving Around the World is a devotional book compiled by Kim P. Davis and contains an introduction by Beth Moore. It is a year's worth of inspiring stories from the front lines of faith that encourage the reader to become prayer warriors for those that go. This is the second volume of Voices of Faith and this one contains 366 daily devotionals that focus on stories of God's faithfulness, written by hundreds of missionaries worldwide. Some of the stories contain tales of stirring miracles and of heroic adventures in the name of God. Volume  I has already sold over 300,000 copies.

My review: Voices Of The Faithful-Vol 2 is a devotional book that is meant to be read daily. In order to complete this review I read it quarterly, taking three months per day, but I can assure you that I will go back and read it as it is designed to be read, one story a day. The book is well laid out and an easy devotional to follow. It IS a light devotional and if you are looking for one where the stories and the scriptures go hand in hand then this is not the book for you. If you are simply looking for some inspirational stories then this is your book. I believe that used as a springboard devotional, or as prayer starter it would be an inspiration to enable the reader to carry on God’s work daily.
