Another Auld Lang Syne!

Today is the first day of the rest of this year and means I have two more days of vacation left before going back to school on Monday.....sigh!  I have had a blast during my holiday....we went to Knoxville, participated in a sweet little wedding, went to Gatlinburg with our youth.....and today I am going to remove all traces of Christmas from my house.....at least that is the plan.  Frank will be holed up watching football and I am going to just get my house in order before I go back to work.  I make resolutions every year....and usually have broken them before January 2nd.  I am like many of you and vow to exercise more, lose weight, be less busy...you know the routine....but this year is a wee bit different....I am making a resolution I plan to keep.  My resolution this year is to read my bible everyday and spend time with the Lord in prayer.  Simple plan and the cool thing about it is that even if I miss a day....I don't have to feel like a failure....I can just start again.  I think God will be delighted to see me no matter what!  I am wishing for you all this year the love of family and friends, good health, food to eat, somewhere to warm yourselves, and peace(world and in your own heart).  Have a wonderful New Year and a Blessed 2011.  I am leaving you with my favorite Auld Lang Syne song, "Same Auld Lang Syne" by Dan Fogelburg.

I love your plan. I'm attending a new church with neighbors in the morning. A group of us left our church last summer and we haven't found a new church yet. I hope tomorrow is a step in that direction.

It's always sad to go back after vacation ... but it sounds like you had a wonderful time.

Hope the coming year turns out to be your best ever!

Happy New Year Sweetie!!

I know God will be tickled to spend quality time with His favorite daughter! We're ALL His favorites and like all parents, He misses us when we don't "phone home" regularly!!!!

Have a blessed year!
